Three months had come and gone since my last trip to the Red Cross Blood Services in Perth. So today I went along for my second donation. All of it went very smoothly but I learnt a lesson not to make sarcastic comments to nurses.
After my donation (which took a minute longer then last time, I mustn’t be flowing well) was finished the nurse was asking if I felt funny, my reply of well off course you just took blood out of me was taking seriously so then I ended up in the ‘emergency’ position of the blood donor chair with a fan on me for 10 minutes or so. Oops, lesson learnt.
After that I was given some nice food, including a sausage roll, some orange juice, biscuits and chocolate.
So if you haven’t donated you should also go down, it doesn’t take long (as long as you keep the sarcastic comments to yourself), I only ended up being there about an hour including travel time and you could save three lives, not too shabby.

I can never seem to work around the ‘cant have had a tattoo in the last x months’ clause
